The Alokya Family

The soul of Alokya

CEO and co-founder Simran Kedia embodies the soul of Alokya. Her vision of a sustainable way of life is the guiding force behind our brand. Having completed her former studies in her hometown, Simran’s bachelor’s degree from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru, was eventful and exposed her to the intricacies of the world. However, she developed the skills required to change the world during her MBA at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

After her corporate stint at Adani group, she had finally found her calling in Alokya and has since diligently pursued it. She utilises her experiences to operate and manage the brand. Simran is closely involved in every aspect of the brand. It is her passion project.

A natural humanitarian, Simran is fond of the seas and the mountains. Yoga is a significant part of her life, but not more than appetising delicacies and her favourite ‘Chai.’

Reetu Kedia, an entrepreneur at fifty years young, is the co-founder of Alokya. She established Alokya with her capable children, Simran and Subham. With a bachelor’s degree from Handique Girls’ College, Guwahati, she had never abandoned her attachment to art and handiwork, even after her marriage. She has always been exceptionally skilled in tinkering and creating unique art and craft pieces. She instilled this love and appreciation for art in her two children, which led to the foundations of Alokya being laid.

Reetu is the personification of strength as she leads the room with her bold nature and iron-will. She is rightly incharge of operations at Alokya.

A creative at heart, Reetu’s ingenuity reflects in her daily life - from her exceptional collection of ‘Dupattas’ to her innovative twist to traditional dishes.
